TERMS OF USE

Effective Date: September 28, 2026
Last Updated: September 28, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website operated by Alssaro Counseling Services PLLC (“Alssaro,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including Alssaro’s website, webpages, online contact and appointment-request features, and other publicly available online resources that link to these Terms (collectively, the “Website”).

By accessing or using the Website, you acknowledge that you have read and understand these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Website.

1. ABOUT ALSSARO

Alssaro Counseling Services PLLC is a New York professional limited liability company providing behavioral health services.

Clinical services are provided by qualified behavioral health professionals in accordance with applicable professional licensing, supervision, scope-of-practice, and other legal and regulatory requirements.

Information appearing on the Website about clinicians, services, insurance participation, treatment approaches, locations, telehealth, scheduling, or other matters is provided for general informational purposes and is subject to change.

2. THE WEBSITE DOES NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL OR MENTAL HEALTH ADVICE

Information available through the Website is provided for general informational and educational purposes only.

Website content is not intended to constitute and should not be relied upon as individualized medical, psychiatric, psychological, mental health, diagnostic, or treatment advice.

Use of the Website is not a substitute for evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, or advice from a qualified healthcare professional who is familiar with your individual circumstances.

3. USE OF THE WEBSITE DOES NOT CREATE A THERAPIST-CLIENT RELATIONSHIP

Accessing or using the Website does not, by itself, establish a therapist-client, clinician-client, provider-patient, or other professional healthcare relationship with Alssaro or any Alssaro clinician.

Submitting an inquiry, completing a contact form, requesting an appointment, communicating with Alssaro staff, or providing information through the Website does not by itself establish a treatment relationship or guarantee that Alssaro or a particular clinician will provide services.

A clinical relationship is established only after Alssaro has accepted an individual for services and applicable intake, consent, and other required procedures have been completed.

Clinical services are governed by separate clinical documents, including applicable informed consent, privacy, financial, telehealth, practice, and other policies provided to clients.

4. EMERGENCIES AND CRISIS SITUATIONS

The Website is not an emergency or crisis-response service and should not be used to obtain emergency assistance.

Do not use website forms, email, routine text messaging, appointment requests, portal messages, or other non-emergency communication methods to seek immediate assistance during a medical, psychiatric, or mental health emergency.

If you or another person is experiencing an immediate emergency or is in imminent danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

If you are experiencing a mental health, suicide, or substance-use crisis, you may call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Alssaro cannot guarantee that communications submitted through the Website or other routine communication channels will be reviewed immediately.

5. APPOINTMENT REQUESTS AND ACCEPTANCE FOR SERVICES

The Website may allow individuals to request information, inquire about services, or request an appointment.

Submitting a request does not guarantee:

  • acceptance as an Alssaro client;

  • an appointment with a particular clinician;

  • availability at a particular date or time;

  • eligibility for a particular service;

  • that Alssaro’s services are clinically appropriate for an individual; or

  • insurance coverage or payment for services.

Alssaro may determine whether its services are appropriate and available based on clinical, professional, operational, legal, insurance, licensure, geographic, and other applicable considerations.

6. TELEHEALTH AND LOCATION OF SERVICES

The availability of information about telehealth on the Website does not mean that Alssaro or an Alssaro clinician is authorized to provide clinical services to every person or in every geographic location.

The ability to provide telehealth services may depend upon the client’s physical location at the time services are provided, the clinician’s professional license or authorization, applicable federal and state law, payer requirements, and other professional requirements.

Telehealth services provided to established clients are governed by applicable clinical consents and policies in addition to applicable law.

7. MINORS

Information on the Website concerning services for children or adolescents does not replace applicable consent, authorization, custody, guardianship, or other requirements concerning treatment of minors.

Alssaro determines applicable consent and authorization requirements as part of the intake and treatment process and in accordance with applicable law.

8. INSURANCE AND PAYMENT INFORMATION

References on the Website to insurance plans, insurance participation, benefits, fees, or coverage are provided for informational purposes only.

Participation with an insurer does not guarantee that a particular service, clinician, diagnosis, treatment, or appointment will be covered under an individual’s insurance plan.

Insurance benefits, eligibility, authorization requirements, deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, limitations, exclusions, and other financial responsibilities are determined by the applicable health plan and the terms of the individual’s coverage.

Individuals remain responsible for understanding their insurance benefits and financial obligations in accordance with applicable agreements and law.

9. PRIVACY AND PROTECTED HEALTH INFORMATION

Alssaro takes privacy and confidentiality seriously.

Alssaro’s handling of protected health information in connection with healthcare services is governed by applicable federal and state privacy laws and by Alssaro’s Notice of Privacy Practices.

The Notice of Privacy Practices describes, among other things, how protected health information may be used and disclosed and describes individuals’ rights concerning their protected health information.

Alssaro’s Website privacy practices may also be addressed in its applicable Privacy Policy.

These Terms of Use do not replace Alssaro’s Notice of Privacy Practices, Privacy Policy, authorizations, informed consent documents, or other privacy-related notices.

If there is a conflict between these Terms and a legal requirement governing protected health information, the applicable legal requirement and Alssaro’s corresponding privacy obligations control.

10. COMMUNICATING THROUGH THE WEBSITE

Users should exercise caution when transmitting sensitive personal or health information through the Internet.

Do not submit highly sensitive clinical information through general website contact forms, ordinary email, or other communication channels unless Alssaro has specifically instructed you that the method is appropriate for that purpose.

Established clients should use communication methods designated by Alssaro for clinical or confidential communications.

No Internet transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. WEBSITE INFORMATION AND AVAILABILITY

Alssaro makes reasonable efforts to provide useful and accurate information through the Website. However, information may occasionally be incomplete, outdated, unavailable, or contain errors.

Alssaro does not guarantee that the Website will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or free from technical problems.

Alssaro may modify, remove, suspend, or discontinue Website content or functionality when appropriate.

12. CLINICIAN INFORMATION

Information regarding clinicians, credentials, specialties, treatment approaches, schedules, insurance participation, or availability may change.

A clinician’s appearance on the Website does not guarantee that the clinician is currently accepting new clients, participates with a particular insurance plan for a particular service, or is clinically appropriate for a particular individual’s needs.

Professional credentials and scope of practice are governed by applicable licensing and professional requirements.

13. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES AND SERVICES

The Website may contain links to or interact with websites, platforms, portals, scheduling systems, payment processors, insurers, directories, or other services operated by third parties.

A link or connection to a third-party service does not necessarily constitute Alssaro’s endorsement of that service or its content.

Third-party websites and services may maintain their own terms, privacy policies, and security practices. Alssaro does not control the content or practices of independent third-party websites and services.

14. PERMITTED USE

You may use the Website for lawful personal and informational purposes.

You agree not to:

  • use the Website for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful purposes;

  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website, accounts, systems, networks, or data;

  • interfere with the security, operation, or availability of the Website;

  • introduce malicious code, viruses, or other harmful technology;

  • impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity;

  • use automated systems to access, scrape, extract, or reproduce Website content in a manner that materially interferes with the Website or violates applicable law;

  • attempt to obtain confidential or restricted information without authorization; or

  • use Website content in a manner that infringes the rights of Alssaro or another person.

Alssaro may restrict access to the Website when reasonably necessary to protect its systems, users, clients, workforce, or legal rights.

15. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Unless otherwise indicated, the Website and its original content, including text, graphics, logos, design elements, educational materials, and other materials created by or for Alssaro, are owned by or licensed to Alssaro and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Website content may be viewed and used for personal, noncommercial informational purposes.

Nothing in these Terms grants permission to reproduce, distribute, modify, publish, sell, license, or commercially exploit Alssaro’s protected content, trademarks, trade names, or branding without authorization, except as otherwise permitted by law.

16. NO GUARANTEE OF CLINICAL OUTCOMES

Behavioral health treatment is individualized, and outcomes vary.

Nothing on the Website constitutes a promise, warranty, or guarantee regarding the effectiveness of a particular treatment, clinician, intervention, service, or clinical outcome.

Testimonials, educational materials, descriptions of treatment approaches, or other information, if presented on the Website, should not be interpreted as guarantees that another individual will experience the same results.

17. DISCLAIMER REGARDING WEBSITE USE

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Website and its general informational content are provided on an “as available” basis.

Alssaro does not make guarantees concerning the uninterrupted availability, technical performance, completeness, or accuracy of general Website content.

Nothing in this section is intended to disclaim or limit professional duties, standards of care, privacy obligations, statutory responsibilities, or other obligations that cannot lawfully be waived or limited.

18. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR WEBSITE USE

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Alssaro will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising solely from use of, inability to access, or reliance upon the general informational portions of the Website.

This limitation applies only to the extent permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit or waive any professional duty of care, responsibility arising from the provision of healthcare services, rights concerning protected health information, or any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be waived or limited.

19. PROFESSIONAL SERVICES ARE GOVERNED SEPARATELY

These Terms primarily govern access to and use of Alssaro’s public Website.

Actual behavioral health services provided by Alssaro clinicians are governed by applicable law, professional standards, clinical policies, informed-consent documents, treatment agreements, privacy requirements, and other documents applicable to the professional relationship.

Nothing in these Terms modifies the professional standard of care applicable to clinical services.

20. ACCESSIBILITY

Alssaro seeks to make its Website reasonably accessible to users.

Individuals who experience difficulty accessing Website information or who need assistance obtaining information in another format may contact Alssaro using the contact information provided on the Website.

21. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

Alssaro may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in the Website, services, business practices, or applicable requirements.

When these Terms are materially revised, the updated version will be posted on the Website with an updated “Last Updated” date.

Continued use of the Website after revised Terms become effective constitutes use of the Website subject to the revised Terms.

22. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms and use of the Website are governed by applicable federal law and the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where another law is required to apply.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to alter rights, remedies, venue, jurisdiction, professional obligations, or legal protections that cannot lawfully be modified by agreement.

23. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.

24. ENTIRE AGREEMENT REGARDING WEBSITE USE

These Terms constitute the general terms governing use of Alssaro’s public Website.

They do not replace clinical agreements, informed consents, financial policies, telehealth consents, privacy notices, insurance requirements, or other documents applicable to individuals receiving healthcare services from Alssaro.
